Carly Danek Photography is committed to making this website usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every visitor to be able to view our work, read about our services, and get in touch with ease.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We are continually working to improve the experience for all visitors.

What we've done

  • Used a clear page title and headings to organize each page

  • Updated file names and added alt text to the photographs on the site

  • Tested pages with automated tools (WAVE, DevTools) and by hand

  • Checked that menus, links, and buttons can be used with a keyboard

  • Reviewed color contrast and text size

  • Added a pause/play button to the header video on the Video page

Our website platform

This website is built on Squarespace. We have updated our content to work with the site's current setup. Some built-in Squarespace elements are controlled by the platform, and Squarespace may change them over time. When it does, we review the site and make adjustments.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of this website may not yet be fully accessible. We are aware of the following:

  • Videos are hosted on third-party services such as YouTube. Captions and player controls are provided by those services, and we are working to make sure each video has captions.
